Is there a way to include the date in a comment?

Edited

I'm setting up an automation rule that will post a comment when moved to a specific status. I'd like for the comment to say "Please respond by mm/dd/yyyy" with a specific date relative to the current day (3 days later for example).

Can this be done by JIRA without additional plugins? (Similarly to how JQL uses the now() function to get the current date/time)

No, it doesn't have the ability to enter date and math arbitrarily in automation comments.

Sad as Confluence does it easily with //
