Is it possible to create an issue via the REST API with a html body ?

I'm using the REST API to create a JIRA Service desk ticket. Currently, I'm adding the parameters via the RequestFieldValues property in the POST request. 
This object contains no styling in the ticket.

Is it possible to post an HTML body instead of the plain dictionary object?

So far it does not seem possible. I am having the same issue. It renders HTML tags as it is.
