Is it possible for a ticket to get assigned to a particular group of users?

Brian Litwak July 25, 2019

Hi,

I am setting up a new Client on JIRA and when they create a ticket I would like for this to be assigned automatically to a particular group of users (team).

I want that all of them recived a notification.

Is it possible?

Thanks,

Hi Brian,

You cannot have multiple assignees in Jira.

But you can create a user e.g. Team1.   That Team1's email would be Team1@xxxxxx.com which is a distribution list.  So they are all notified.

Hope that helps

Just checking to see if there are any options to assign tickets to a group yet???? Or we can only send an email to a distribution list.

HI Brian,

You would need to create a user that is tied to a distribution list of the team and then use automation or project defaults to assign to that user.

Hope that helps

Hi @Susan Hauth _Jira Queen_ ,

I don't understand how.

Can you explain it better please? Like a tutorial or with links?

Kind regards,

I know that we have 'Assignee' but I want more than 1 agent to this ticket..
