Insight - Asset Management LDAP import

JDave April 26, 2019

New to Insights - setup a test object schema for IT Assets - hardware/software/etc.    I'm attempting to import in LDAP attributes into Insight   - I have been able to create an LDAP Import - it test fine - I created a mapping - but .. It is not importing anything and I'm assuming that I just am doing this incorrectly.

Update:  just not clear on how to use the Insights LDAP import - any suggestions .. anyone has any documentation ...

Below are the fields that we are importing into Jira Service Desk - from an LDAP add-on - works fine.

I have the LDAP Import setup as below - it test fine

Import - Config setup.PNG

So .. I thought .. from what I am reading and learning .. I tried to define the attributes - I think I need to ...

Atributes setup.PNG

It syncs - but not really ...

Any suggestions ... ??  I want the user attributes to be pulled into Insights

Firstly, you need correct define attributes. Set Identifier like SID (ObjectSID) or DN. We use objectSID = SID for Identifier.

After then, set correct Data Locator, for example: CN = Name(label), DN = DN, company = Company, mail = E-mail. Data Locator it`s LDAP attributes.

See documentation from: https://documentation.mindville.com/insight/latest/ldap-import-33467109.html
