In Insight can you create an Object Type with more than one Label fields?

Laurence Reynolds January 28, 2022

Hi,

I am totally new to Insight and I want to know if it is possible to create an Object Type with two Label attributes (I am assuming that the Label field is the primary key of the Object Type - Please tell me if I am wrong)?

I have diagrammed my schema and there are a few record with keys made up of multiple attributes (e.g. SOFTWARE with key attributes SWName and SWVersion).  But when I try to input this to this to Insight I can only make one of the fields the Label field.

I have been looking on the web and it seems that if I set up my Object Types by importing them from a CSV file I might be able to specify more than one key field.  But I would prefer to do it through Insight.  So is there any way to do it?

Hi @Laurence Reynolds,

You can set one "label" per object type as far as I can remember. Still, you can define multiple "identifiers" that lookup the selected attributes in your import configuration and compare for duplicates.

You can read more about it at the links below
