Import csv in Insigth with the information in diferents rows

Edited

Hello Atlassian Support! I create this ticket because I don't have a solution for this problem.

I would like to import a csv where the information is in diferents rows.

For example in the following imageImagen de WhatsApp 2023-05-22 a las 12.35.30.jpg

Where I would like the empty rows (Like "Criticality", "Applies SOX", etc.) when imported to have the values starting in the second column of the next row

Imagen de WhatsApp 2023-05-22 a las 12.35.30.jpg

I used colors to express that

The objetive would be that for the row "EXMPL1_STF" the empty rows:

      "Criticidad" has the value "Media",

"Aplica SOX" has the value "KEY REPORT",

       "Estado" has the value "Operativo",

"Fecha creacion" has the value "12/3/2013" and

"Fecha ultima modificacion" has the value "7/3/2014"

And so on for the rest of all the rows in the csv

So, I want to know if there is or not a way to do this

Please if you need additional information, let me know

Thanks!

Hi @tomas nicolas boltin,

A short and maybe disappointing answer is: this won't work. The import functionality for Assets (Insight) is pretty powerful, but it simply requires your csv file to meet at least some basic requirements:

  • your first row must contain row headers
  • the information in each column must match the row header. If there is no value for a column, that may be the case, but the information should be there
  • In a proper csv file, you use a delimiter (, or ; or something else) to separate the columns.

Also, check out this support article for a bit more background on importing csv files.

Hope this helps!

Hi Walter! Thanks for your answer. Yes, it helps me. Thanks again!
