I can't get the old ticket number to put in the e-mail.

Hello,

I've set up an automatic system that sends an e-mail to the reporter when a ticket is moved between two projects.

I can't get the old ticket number to put in the e-mail.

Thank you in advance for your advice.

Hi @Michaël Monserrat

This is not an option, as you move an issue to another project, the old key doesn't exist anymore.

That reference is translated to the new issue key by default.

Hello @Marc - Devoteam ,

Thanks for your reply, but I thought I had read that the history of ticket numbers was kept. I hope to find it again with a Smart Value.

Hi @Michaël Monserrat

That is partly true.

The history is retained even on move, but all relation of the old key will be translated to the new.

The OLD key identifier can be used in a link or search but it will translate automatically to the NEW key identifier

So within any use of the old key the new will be referred to.

So in automation the old key is not usable is it translates to the new key

There is a DB table you can look at, but I don't recommend it. Any change make cause the system to become unavailable or break.

The DB data can't be used in automation or smart values in relation.
