How to notfiy user of agent ticket has been assigned to

Hi,

I have a number of agents on my service desk. Is it possible that the user can automatically be notified of the agent who has been assigned their ticket?

I assign tickets to agents but the user is not notified who is working on there case.

Thanks

Hi @Andrew Ellington

You could create an automation rule using Automation for Jira, to add a comment to the request when this is assigned (using smart values ofcourse). You can create a rule as:

  • Trigger: Issue Assigned
  • Action: Add Public Comment: This request has been assigned to {{issue.assignee.displayName}}
