As we have a ticket we are working on then there comes another ticket, So how can we merge the new ticket with the old one. Is there any option.
@Bhupender Singh Welcome to the Atlassian community
Nativly Jira does not merge tickets. It does allow you to link similar issues. This can be done through automation an example of this automation can be found here: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Service-Management/Automated-links-for-similar-issue-description-field-with-same/qaq-p/1862391 You can also use the similar requests feature lab to identify similar requests https://support.atlassian.com/jira-service-management-cloud/docs/what-are-similar-requests/
Hi @Bhupender Singh ,
Using native functionalities, you can copy values from one issue to another.
If you need the merge issues action, you need the app. For example, developed by my team: Issue Merger PRO for Jira. With this app, you can easily merge issues using the action available on the issue view. There is also an option to make it automatically based on the automation rule defined in our app.
Keep in mind that this is paid solution but this app is free for up to 10 users.
Regards,
~Kate
