I am wondering how it would be possible to reach Jira assets data from PowerBI. Jira assets (Insight) is implemented on-prem (Server license model)?

The easiest way is to install a connector. These are available as Marketplace apps.
I'm putting a page to the Marketplace with a query for"Power BI". The connectors listed there cite the ability to get Jira Assets (fka Insight).
