We are using cloud hosting. I am trying to setup the approval process in a workflow in Jira.
Based on the document online, I need to associate the request type to the issue type, but please look at the attached screenshot, there is no such a thing call 'Request Type' on the navigation menu. Also based on the document, I created two status 'Approved' and 'Declined', and then the 'Approval' tick box will show up. But there is no any tick box show up. Please check the attached screenshot.
Is there anyone could help? I appreciate the help in advance.

assuming your project is indeed a JSD and not Jira Software project then please review this document - set-up-approvals
in JSD request types are created and configured here - project settings > request types. It is there that you associate a request type to an issue type.

However, I have read that document and tried a few days ago.
The point I am very confusing is that there is no such a thing called "request types" in my project settings. Please check the screenshot. Also there is no "Approval" check box in the "Status" configuration.

Hi @Wei Kong
This is because you are using a Jira Software project, but you need to use a Jira Service Desk project for this. There you will have request types available.
Once you have linked your workflow to the Jira Service Desk project, you will be able to add approvals to your workflow.
