How to edit values of custom fields?

I have a custom field which is a drop-down and displays 4 options to select for the user.  I would like to add a 5th drop down but can't seem to figure out how to edit that field.  It appears I can only edit which screens it appears in, mandatory/optional, and the description.  Screenshot below to show what I'm seeing.  For some reason when I click "Custom fields" it does not appear in the list, but it does show under "Field configurations".  Can this field be listed by a different name under "Custom fields" than "Field configurations"?

When I click the Display Name, underneath it shows Issue field: MyFieldName.  Then when I click on Custom fields it is not listed but is shown under Field configurations.

Hi A Z,

In order to modify options for a custom field you must be a jira administrator.  You can then navigate to the Custom fields, and select "configure" for the field you want to update.

Hi Susan,

I do have administrator privileges.  You can see in the screenshot that I posted that I have admin rights, is that different than being an admin?  When I go to Custom fields, MyFieldName does not appear in the list but it does show up Field configurations.

Hi,

That would be highly unusual for a custom field not to be in the list of custom fields. All fields are in that list, even some system ones. 

Can you send a screen shot?
