How to change the default from public to internal comment

Hello,

when we write comments in the screenmask from changing the status or linking operations the default is always on public comment. We are on server with our Jira.

How can I change it?

Out of the box this cannot be changed there is a Change request open for this:

I suggest reading through that issue for workarround (use at your own risk)

 

There is an app available that sort of does it but (imho) it is a hefty price for just this feature.
