How to add "Participants" to issue view

Newbie issue here, but can't get the field "Request Participants" to show on any of the forms in a project - I've added it under custom fields, but it's not showing up.

Thank you for reaching out to the Atlassian Community!

The Request Participants is a system field and by default, it shows on Jira Service Management tickets.

I see that this question has the jira-software tag, so I would like to know if you are trying to add the field to a Software project.

If that’s the case, it’s expected that it won’t work because this field is for Service Management projects only, instead, you can use the Watcher field on Software projects.

Yep - we figured it out already - we're using both views - project level and in service management - thanks!
