We have two versions of the product. I want the customer to be able to select the version as appropriated. I created a new custom type with the two versions V7 & V8 as selectable drop down.
However, I am unable to add the custom field to specific request type fields. It gives me only a set of canned fields and nothing more can be added. This seems to be basic & I am curious if someone has figured this out.
After you created the custom field, you need ensure two things -
1) The field is exposed to your project in the field configuration scheme.
2) If the field is exposed to your project's field configuration scheme, then you will need to add it to your project's screen configuration scheme (CREATE, EDIT, VIEW screens)
Once it is added to the screen configuration scheme, then you can add it to the Request Type Form.
Hope this helps.
