How do you, if you can do it of course, filter an object schema on Jira Service Management based on the Request Type?

how can I display a list of specific insight objects from the request type. Example: if request type equals 'planets' then the list of insight objects must be Earth, Mars, Jupiter, etc...

If request type is "satellites" then the list would be: Moon, Europa, Io, Phobos, etc...

Hi Bonasia,

I don't think that you can do that from my experience. Contexts of your custom field can be applied to issue types but not request types.

But your question seems to imply that all your objects are of the same objectType in your Insight database.

An easy way to achieve what you want would be (if it's not already the case) to create different object types in your schema (let's say an object type "Planets" and an object type "Satellites)

After that you could create two custom fields, one pointing to the objectType "Planets" the other one pointing to the objectType "Satellites"

This way, you can add whichever custom field is appropriate to the request type you create.

Hope this helps.
