How do i set up a email notification when a issue is assigned to user on service desk

hi, 

when a client raises a issue on the Client Portal and is ready to be assigned, when it is assigned is it possible that the system send a notification to JIRA service desk user that a issue has been assigned to them

Hi @Nadhirah DeWet

You might want to check Notification Schemes under Issues. Make sure you click the notification scheme of the project you want the assignee to be notified, as your current configuration might have different notification scheme for different projects.
Then, under Issue Assigned you add Current Assignee. In this case. every assignee of the project will receive the notification e-mail that an issue has been assigned to him/her.
