I am trying to modify the severity values of the severity field & would like to know how, I am using JIRA service management in the cloud.

The field Severity can be edited directly from the Custom fields page.
Please, go to Cog icon > Issues > Custom fields.
Search for the Severity field and click on “Context and default value”.
On the next page, you will see the option to “Edit options” where you can edit or add new severities.

What about on a request form, not having Severity show a default value? Currently it is showing "Not determined" and everyone is not changing it, so it becomes the value for all our tickets.
Can you say how to make it default to no value, so they have to pick a severity?

Priority values have icons for each falue.
We don't have Severity field by default - ok - i added this - but how to add to each field specific icon? (the same as for priority values)

@Angélica Luz I'm not sure if the above instructions works for team-managed projects because My team was trying to modify the options for severity and were not able to. We got stuck on this page. Any thing we should be doing differently? Thanks!
