How do I add Assignee field for Issue Link?

Hi,

I have a QA sub-task (Subtask 1) created under a Task ticket (Task 1). 

Defects are being linked to this sub-task (Subtask 1) (with "relates to" value). 

Below the "Issue Links" header, we can see all the defects are getting displayed with Defect Id, Description and Status value. 

I would like to add another field for Assignee. The Jira version is Jira v8.5.1.

Please suggest how this can be achieved.

Adding columns to the rows in the Issue Links section is not supported natively.

As already suggested, this isn't currently possible, however if you're open to solutions from the Atlassian Marketplace, you should get pretty close; see e.g. this thread for possible directions forward.
