How I can change field value from queue list like Assignee or Status


Hi, I want to know how I can change fields  (type: Select List (single choice)) directly doing click in it and select one of the values of my list.

Sometimes i have to change in 5 or 10 tickets one field and i have to enter in each ticket to change the field, or use bulk change option in filters that for only 5 or 10 tickets have to much steps.

Actually, you have to change your screen or make a workflow in the project settings

Workflows or also known as automation

For the default fields, Jira creates a default workflow for them.

but for the custom fields, you can either copy a workflow or create your own

That’s pretty much easy

  • Go to servicedesk
  • select the desired tickets
  • you will get choices about what you want to do with those tickets01DAAA63-D394-484A-9C21-B618CCA98FD1.jpeg

Click on assign to assign it to somebody

Thanks Joel but this isn't the problem, i want to change other custom fields or priority, but i can't.

Know you how can I change other fields different to Assignee or Status?



Ya, but you need to create custom priority in the project settings first

@Javier de Sagarra Did you ever receive a solution here? Support did not seem to be very helpful, I am wondering the same thing right now. I have added a Severity field to our queues and would like to have the dropdwon from the queue-view similar to Assignee. Please let me know, thanks!

Hi @Trey Hurst I Only found Bulk Change in tools to do that, if you have a lot of tickets and only do this 2 o 3 times a month is not bad option, but if you have to do for 4 or 5 tickets every day is not optimal. Good luck.
