Hiding Edit button in details screen

Edited

We have a requirement such that Edit button in the issue details screen must be hidden and be available based on the specific role.

And this must be done for only one issue type not for all the issue types.

We tried adding the permissions through properties of the specific workflow, but the global Edit rapid type permissions over riding permissions added the workflow properties.

How can we achieve functionality without any third party on?

Hi @Sandesh TM ,

first, are you on server, DC or Cloud?

If you restrict the edit permission with the workflow properties, this should override the permission scheme (you can make permissions stricter with properties, not more open).

This also is the only way to do this without apps.
