Our helpdesk url currently includes the IP address - http://99.99.99.99:8080/servicedesk/customer/portals. We need for the url to include our web domain instead - http://auburnhospital.org/servicedesk/customer/portals. Does anyone know how to do this?
Hi,
You'd need to look through https://confluence.atlassian.com/kb/proxying-atlassian-server-applications-with-apache-http-server-mod_proxy_http-806032611.html to help with getting your Jira application running behind a web proxy.

Hey @andrea price
You may have to work with your IT team to configure a reverse proxy to place the IP address URL behind the DNS. Please note that you may have to do the DNS mapping with the IP address.
Also I would recommend to configure SSL so that site is secure.
We can configure nginx or apache as proxy server for Jira.
For configuring apache as proxy please refer to URL provided by @Craig Castle-Mead and for nginx please check this URL https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/configure-jira-server-to-run-behind-a-nginx-reverse-proxy-426115340.html
Regards,
Vishwas
