Grid style custom field to capture data in service portal form

Durell Demartini August 8, 2023

Hello, we are using Data Center hosting type, and we're seeking input on availability of a marketplace app that will fulfill the following requirements:

  • A grid/row type of custom field to show on a request type in a service portal, like an Excel "row" of cells to allow a user to enter data cell by cell/row by row, and said data will then appear in a grid format for service desk agent to process request
  • The capability to, instead of entering data into a cell in a row, upload a CSV that contains the data that instead lays out the data in the backend issue view
  • The ability to format the width of rows/cells in the "grid"

The team requesting this has been trialing "Table Grid Next Generation," but they feel that the layout of the app is too cumbersome for users so they were even asking if it was possible to replace the grid with some type of "Upload CSV" option that instead lays out the data in the backend issue view, as mentioned.

From what we've found, the "Table Grid Next Generation" is missing the capability to do much of any formatting. For example, we can't adjust the width of the cells or the size of the font. We were hoping to find more than one option for this functionality in the Marketplace, but we don't see any options beyond "Table Grid" and "Table Grid Next Generation," both made by the same company.

Thanks in advance for any input or advice.

Is this CSV suppose to be the defaults for the grid because you can configure the grid to have default data?
