Get customer request status label

Hi team,

I have a case that I need to get the customer visible workflow status name as shown in the attachment, I want on the issue event get the Working on it instead of In Progress is there a way to do so, or is there another Jira event that can notify us on the customer status visible changed. 

We used this Java class 

CustomerRequest.CustomerRequestStatus 

but it returns the agent status example In Progress not working on it
