After fresh installation of jira i trying to restore my old mssql backup but after restore jira wont work so need your help i am newbie for jira

Hi what was the version of Jira where the DB backup was made from?

is your new Jira installation the same version?

You can't just use a DB backup file as a restore, the db backup can only be applied to the same version of Jira it was made from.

Then you should update you instance to the latest version, as updates make changes to the db tables and strcuture.
