I am seeking to embed the service desk widget in our react app so that it opens on a specific knowledge base page, based on the page/URL on which the widget is opened from by the user.
e.g. widget on 'doughnuts' page opens the 'how to eat doughnuts' article...
Is it possible to customise the 'embed widget code (below) or do i need to connect via the API and use Context Parameters?
<script data-jsd-embedded data-key="XX" data-base-url="https://jsd-widget.atlassian.com" src="https://jsd-widget.atlassian.com/assets/embed.js"></script>
Any ideas really appreciated!
Hello @Alex,
Thank you for reaching out to Atlassian Community!
When it comes to Widget customization, I’m afraid to say that it’s not possible to make the Widget open on specific pages.
The Widget is an embedable that allows customers to create tickets on a specific project and they can also read articles, but it will only depend on their search.
The Widget has few options to customize and although it’s possible to add some custom CSS to change some behavior, the option that you need is more complex and we didn’t find an API that could help to make a specific article open depending on the page the customer is.
Here in this community we deal more with product questions and we do answer some API questions as well, but we have a Developer community from Atlassian and maybe there someone may have another idea for your requirement.
Kind regards,
Angélica
