Does Discovery scanner pull data from devices in serial or parallel?

If I scan a subnet with 100+ hosts how does the scanner pull that data? I am guessing it does not attempt to pull them all at once but does it run the pattern queries one at a time, two at a time? Does it pull data from the first then start queries on the second while it processes the first...?

Hi David,

It depends on how many threads your Discovery tool is configured with. Try to check this information at "Common" tab.

Those threads work simultaneously during the scan, and every thread scans one device at a time.
