Hi All
I have a service desk project (ISD) and a business project (TOPS).
I would like to automatically create a linked issue in the business project (TOPS) when a new service desk issue (ISD) is created.
Can this be done using Automation for Jira?
I have tried with no success.
I am new to Jira cloud and would like some assistance from the community.
Regards
Otto

Hi Seba
Thanks for your help.
Not sure if I have done this correctly.
Here are some screenshots of my rule.
I did create a Global Rule.
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
Switch in field Linked issue from 'Copy from' to 'Set value'. You should have something like this:

Hi Seba
Thank you for all your help. It worked.
I still got the following error message in the Audit log:
"Unknown fields set during create, they may be unavailable for the project/type. Check your custom field configuration. Fields ignored - Linked Issues (issuelinks)"
I found the solution to fix this here https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-questions/Automation-for-JIRA-Linking-issues/qaq-p/1022267
Kind Regards

Until this feature is implemented in the Jira application, you can give this automation-based solution a try as a workaround.
