Changing Approver question

I am configuring an approval step in a Jira Service Desk workflow.  The team who will use this has explained that sometimes if a manager is out of town, that they need to change the approver to another manager.  I know that they can do this from the Approvers field in the People section of the issue.  However, my question is, will that new approver get an email or notification that they have something to approve?

When you switch approvers, they'll get a notification that a ticket is waiting for their approval.



Thank you!  I tested this in our test environment and it works well.
