Can you '@' a requested participant in an issue? (if they aren't an agent)

Hi,

When adding comments to an issues and you '@' someone it only allows you to '@' agents and the reporter of the issue - no extra customers.

If you have added requested participants to the issue I thought it would allow you to '@' them in the comments. However, it doesn't.

Is there a way round this?
