Can we adjust the placement of the Field Help in New JSD Portal look?

Unfortunately, we missed the part about not being able to roll back the new look and feel for the portal.

One issue is the placement of the Field Help below the actual fields. In the old portal, it was pulled out to the side and easier to see/scan. All other forms our customers use have any help messages directly below the field title and above the fields.

Furthermore, the field Help text and Titles look to be the same size and weight, which is confusing when they stack.

Can we

-have an option to move Field Help up above the fields so users receive the help ahead of their actions?
- improve the styling difference between help and titles?

If you look at the screenshot you see the Field Help - "Check all that apply..." would be a better UX to have the help above the fields. You can also see how similar the Field Help text and the Title text is. Some simple styling could help here.

Thank you for reaching out.

Per your description, I believe you want the ability to customize the Help Field of Service Desk portal, so you can properly change its position in the portal and format its text. Have I understood it properly?

Indeed, those kinds of customization are not available in Jira Server at this time, however, we clearly understand this would be a good functionality to better identify the Help field in a first look. That being said, we created the following feature request to get it implemented:

The ability to format text in the Field Help field 

Display Field Help at the side of the fields in Customer Portal 

Feel free to vote and watch the suggestion to increase its priority and also receive notifications about any updates.

Additionally, take a look at the feature request to know what kind of formating options are allowed for the Help field.

@Petter Gonçalves  - thanks those two tickets would help. In general, if we could apply CSS for further customizations that would be even better. But I'll go vote up those other issues. Cheers. Danny
