Hi
We are going to using the change control piece of JIRA Service management and am looking to have the linked issue field as part of the request form.
This will enable the technology teams to submit change requests and be able to link their change requests to an existing JIRA issue rather than copying and pasting the link of the JIRA into the description/summary field.
When I try to add it as a the linked issue as a visible field it says that it must have a preset value? Not ideal, as the value will be unique per change request.
Is there another way to do this, I am trying to offer the developers a way to quickly look up the JIRA's that would be part of the change release? Any help appreciated
Hi @Nick Turner
I don't think it is something you could put on a 'customer' request form, as customers would not usually have the ability to browse issues, so couldn't link them.
A workaround would be to have the developer use the 'create' button to create the issue.
Hope that helps,
Regards, Liam
