Add users to JSD group(s) based on AD attribute

Ole Markus Pedersen January 22, 2019

Hi !

We currently have two Active directories.

We add the users in AD nr1 into a JSD group called "Frontpage nr1"(via user directories- Default Group Memberships). That group has certain issue types available. (Using the addon 'Extensions' to limit the issue types to group)

Then we do the same for AD nr2. We add them into JSD Group "frontpage nr2". They have different issue types available.

This way we can have two different frontpages depending on which AD the user come from.

We are going to merge the two AD's in not to long, but we still want to keep the two different frontpages...

What i'm looking for is a way to assign the users to the correct JSD group (when we will not have to LDAP connections anymore), for instance using a AD attribute like 'location'.

If location = 'abc' and 'asd' then they should be put in group "frontpage 1".. and if location = 'something else' then put in group "frontpage 2".

Any tips or ways to solve this would be greatly appreciated.

Best regards,

Ole M Pedersen
