My name is Emily and I'm a product marketing manager on Atlassian's ITSM team. I'm excited to share some new updates from our most recent release, Jira Service Management Server and Data Center 4.15 (full release notes here), featuring asset management, an upgraded customer portal, mobile support, and improved data insights.
Mindville Insight is now included in Jira Service Management Data Center.
Insight - Asset Management is a powerful app that lets you create and manage your IT and business assets, and interact with them through requests. After creating (or importing) your assets, you can also create references between them, which lets you see all the relations and dependencies within your company. We’ve also made Insight Discovery available to download for free from the Atlassian Marketplace. Insight Discovery helps you gather data from all hosts and devices on your network, pulling it all into Insight - Asset Management.
We’ve upgraded the help center experience so your employees or customers can quickly and easily find the right service desk for their issues. Service desk cards can be sorted by popularity, alphabetical order, or most recently requested. We’ve also added a new rich text editor so the contents of your requests and comments are fully customizable. You can also allow customers to vote for their favorite requests directly in the customer portal. Go ahead and check it out in Project settings > Customer permissions. Learn more.
We are bringing official support for Jira Service Management to our Jira mobile app. You can view your service projects in the same Jira Server mobile app you’ve been using for other Jira applications (available for iOS and Android). Learn more
We’ve improved data insights and now provide admins and data analysts the ability to export current state data from Jira Service Management. Extract the data from Jira Service Management and feed it into your existing business intelligence platform (like Tableau or PowerBI). Learn more.
