Security Advisory for Jira Service Management

On October 20, 2021, Atlassian published a security advisory for Jira Service Management. The full advisory is available at this link.

We've seen a number of questions already asking for verification on if particular versions of Jira Server, Jira Service Management Server, or Jira Service Management Data Center are affected. We're happy to help answer such questions here on Community if you need clarification after reading the security advisory.

For these cases, you can create a new question in the Jira Service Management category here on Community . Please include this information so we can help you quickly:

  • Your current Jira / JSD / JSM Server or Data Center version
    example: Jira Software 8.12
  • If you are using Server or Data Center specifically
  • Any version of Insight you have installed, which can be found in the Manage apps page in Jira's administration
    example: Insight 8.6.8

This will help provide all the information we need to help guide you on any action you should take related to the advisory. Thanks!
