Hello Team 👋
Once again thank you to everyone who joined our early access program, started using the feature and provided feedback, this is crucial to the success of the product. We are closing the application form. We will continue to enable access to the existing requests gradually, so expect an email from us soon.
Thanks for the offering, but unfortunately the timing is not matching too much, 5 AM and 11 PM is not inside my working hours, could be possible to book a different slot?
Since we are quite heavily using the Assets for Confluence macro in our Data Center set-up, losing this functionality would be a cloud showstopper for us.
@Mohamed Hassan - Apologies for the delay - I was out for PTO on your reply due to getting Poison Ivy around my eye. :( It is a horrible idea, I strongly advise against that.
I sent my ticket when I returned (two weeks ago) and have not heard anything. Did you receive my ticket? I didn't want to just send another email if that was the problem.
@Mohamed Hassan was wondering if you could confirm that when Assets for Confluence go live for GA, Non JSM license holders will also be able to view the services Schema through assets in Confluence?
Hi @Mohamed Hassan . I'm also really interested to know when we can start to use this in beta. Right now we're building our service catalogue / CMDB in assets and want key parts of this to be available to the whole company. Thanks.
We've just migrated from Server to Cloud and used this functionality previously using the old macro in server. Any news on this EAP becoming open again or the capability being incorporated in live as we've lost a load of important reference pages from the lack of this?
We are using this now in EAP and we really like this feature!
One thing that we are missing is the ability to show columns based on referenced assets. In the on-premises assets macro, it was possible to navigate the assets tree and select e.g. attributes from a referenced asset as extra columns.
Is there a place where things like this can be discussed and checked if this is still planned for a later release?
Do you have any indication about when this feature might be released to beta? Or alternatively, is it possible to join the early access program? I'm looking to use this in the immediate term.
@Frank Vandebergh - Thanks for the suggestion, it's not part of our GA release but we are compiling a list of post-GA enhancements and I will include it.
For everyone who is interested in the planned GA date, we are targeting next quarter (April '24 - June '24), we will post the announcement here, on the JAC ticket and in every possible channel so watch that space 😊
This is already a great improvement. However, I do encounter a problem when I'm trying to show a table on a Confluence page belonging to a secondary Confluence site. It is connected through an application link and I am able to create/show issues from the JSM site where the assets are administered. When selecting the assets macro an a page I get an error that I don't have acces to this content.
Should this already work or is this something we can expect in the near future?

@Mohamed Hassan Superstoked to read that the planned GA is in Q2, we have a major change happening right now, with our use of Assets, which we currently need to rely on an API to copy data out to a Google sheet to display the info of the assets.
When the view version is live for non-jsm licensed users we can finally scrap that and have fresh up-to-date info presentable in a really nice format at all times.
Hi @Mohamed Hassan . Is there still an opportunity to join the EAP? I can't quite tell when the feature will be ready for Stage 1: Open (beta access) .

Hi @Jakob Kluijver - Assets storage is separated from JSM so linking JSM to a site does not mean that Assets is automatically linked to that site. Unfortunately, we don't have plans to enable it across different sites but we will keep an eye to see if there is a demand for cross-site display.
@Mohamed Hassan Great to have this feature available in Cloud! I noticed that only the key column is a link back to the asset. For our use case we'd rather not show the key column but only the label column, and have that link to the object. Let me know if there's a better place to make this request.
Until recently, only service agents could see the asset data in Confluence. Now we are very happy that there is a fourth role in Asset, with which our service customers and normal Confluence users can now also see the data on a Confluence page.
But ... unfortunately it doesn't work for user names. I have defined responsibilities in Asset, these attributes are defined as user fields. However, these are only displayed as "unknown user" on the Confluence page.
Another question is, how can I automatically create flexible pages? We need a page for each new object. The objects are created with a process. In the automation of the process, I have the key of the object as a variable, of course. But can I then use this variable in the AQL query of the table in Confluence? It would then have to be transferred to the AQL as a constant.
For the user issue, this happens when a user doesn't have any Jira access (JSW/JSM/JWM), we have this on our list and we are investigating better ways to support cross products users.
In relation to your second query, at the moment it's not possible to create pages automatically with the table, but it's something that we are exploring as well.
I appreciate if you could drop me an email so I can get in touch once we start working on these points: mhassan@atlassian.com
