Our intention was to use the service desk app, as our IT help desk application but I need to understand how the inbound email feature works. Am I correct in saying that only people with a "User" on the system can send an email to the help desk? I noticed during testing using a gmail account,that there is an error in the logs. Hopefully it is a config issue, thanks,
You're right to check—by default, only users with accounts can create requests via email unless "Anyone can email the service desk" is enabled in project settings. It’s likely just a config tweak!
