Hi,
We currently us MS planner to give us a visual representation of JIRA tickets, however this is a manual process which is not ideal.
Is it possible to create a KanBan board for tickets in JIRA SD Cloud? If not, is this something thats in the backlog?
Thanks,
Jordan
Hi @Jordan Hoey
Here the answer:
Jira Service Desk does not ship with boards functionality. Boards are a feature that comes with Jira Software Cloud/Server and with Jira Core Cloud in the form of Jira Core boards.
If your Jira Service Desk Server instance is installed on the same server as a Jira Software instance, or if your Jira Service Desk Cloud instance is on the same Cloud site as a Jira Software instance, you could edit the JQL of an existing Jira Software board to include issues from Jira Service Desk projects.

Yes, you could do that. But that board doesn't live in the service desk project, and your agents then need to leave service desk and go to a different project to view the board. That's not an ideal or efficient experience. Even if you create the board in another project and add a shortcut to it in the service desk, it's still living in a different project, which is going to take your agents away from their main work area. I just don't get why it's so difficult for Atlassian to include the option to create boards in service desk projects. The functionality for creating boards in general already exists, and service desk tickets are just Jira issues, so it shouldn't be difficult to provide.
