Automate Jira functional testing using API

After the upgrade, we are doing Jira manual testing (Post Upgrade Checks).

1. Able to create a project (Jira software, Jira ServiceDesk and Business)

2. Able to create new custom fields.

3. Create a new issue and update the workflow status.

4. Filters and Dashboards are working as expected.

5. Perform an integrity check to make sure there are no errors.

6. Permissions are working as expected in project level.

7. Check for the below Jira Service Desk options:

Request types
customer permissions
portal settings
knowledge base
8. Able to update the add-ons.

All this above testing, I want to do automation using Rest API and moreover, we don't have any plugins in our Instance.

Any suggestions?
