We use our Service Desk without direct interaction with our customers. For reporting etc we want to assign tasks to customers. It seems I cannot add a customer though without an email address. Is there some way around this as it's quite restrictive.
Hello,
It is not possible to create a customer without a email. There is a ticket registered in Atlassian. You can vote for the ticket:
That is really annoying - but thanks for clarifying (I've added my vote to the JSD cloud version of the ticket).
So restrictive as we have services as customers too, all sorts of reasons to not have an email address.
Thanks again.

This is a terrible restriction. Atlassian needs to consider how different business types are structured.
We have a thousand workers in our facility. These workers need to be customers to create a service desk ticket, but none of them will ever have an email address. We do not give floor workers email addresses, but want them to be able to create tickets.
This is a major problem for us with Jira Service Desk.

This is a absolute show stopper.
We will definitely not use Jira.
