Hi all
We have around 90 people in our business. Of the 90 there are 4 in the product team. We have given Creator access to the 4 in the product team. We're trying to encourage everyone in the business to contribute to the boards in Jira Product Discovery. When they do, they create an idea. When they submit the idea, they cannot edit it? Why is this? Seems like a really poor experience and makes the product team look awful...
Settings are shown below. Please help!
Yes, this is possible. All you need to do is create an automation in the JPD project that triggers on, lets say, when you move the idea to Ready for development. Then in the rule just add a component that creates the epic or story in the engineering project with the appropriate information and link it to the idea.
Yes, and...to Mikael's answer:
This is fairly easy for just the issue create scenario. However if you want to do more between JPD and the other projects after the issues have been created, you would probably need a global or multi-project scope rule to access the issues.
There are limits on the number of global and multi-project rule executions per month, based on Jira licensing level. Please consider this and talk to your Jira admin for more details about these limits.
Kind regards,
Bill

@Richard Muffler there are examples for how to do that, you'll find them in the FAQ: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Product-Discovery-articles/Frequently-asked-questions-about-the-product-how-do-I/ba-p/2002378
Search for "automation" in there
