Hello, Right now I discover the "Discovery Projects" in Jira. I like it very much, but it need help to configure one essential metric here.

Given: 
I created many ideas with different fields, labels etc, one of my custom field is "Estimated hours". (used  "number" format)

What I want:
I need to calculate a sum of estimated hours somehow. For now I could not find this thing. it should be smth like "Sum of the items in column", that Jira show for each column. Or new field, that will calculate sum of all estimated hour for ideas based on some filters. 

Any ideas how I could do this?

Hi Karina!

JPD has this feature partially built-in. It's a bit hidden, and I think it can only Sum when the "Group by" field is set. However, it should get you a bit closer to what you're trying to do.

Here's the steps you can follow:

1. First, you need to make sure that the view is grouped by a particular field, or the option to Sum, Average, etc. won't show up.
2. Once the view is grouped, for any fields that are to the right of the "Summary" field, you can click into the empty gray box above the fields for a given group, and you'll see options to Count, Sum, etc. based on the field type:
   
   
3. When that's done, you'll see an output for the field/group, based on your selection:
