Hey Community,
Looking for some help with automations, and I haven't been able to find anything on the boards here or elsewhere. I'd ultimately like to create a Product Discovery Idea from a ticket in my Service Project.
I currently have an automation set up to be manually triggered, that creates an issue in my Discovery project, with "Idea" as an issue type.
however, it keeps erroring out with the audit log saying there was an issue retrieving the issue type field. and the automation builder says it could not find the issue type.
anyone else have this issue?
Edit for screenshot of error:
Thank you,
Hi @Eric DeVille ,
Sounds very similar to an issue we've some customers run into like this other JPD Community Question. As I mentioned there:
We've noticed some customers' A4J user not being granted JPD permission. This isn't so much a bug, but something we're working on correcting.
Regardless, you'll want to open a ticket with JPD support so they can grant your A4J user with JPD permission. The A4J user cannot be granted permission from your end.
You can do that within JPD under the Give Feedback tab >> Get help from the support team, or HERE.
A workaround could be adjusting the Actor of the automation that has JPD permission to see if results vary and/or are successful.
Switching the Actor to someone who has JPD permissions did work. I tried to put a ticket in for grant A4J user JPD permissions, however as I only have a free license it looks like I'm not able to submit.
Until our company upgrades or the correction on Atlassian's side is implemented I'll use the workaround provided.
Thank you!

Hi Eric,
Glad to hear changing the Actor worked!
Submitting tickets is restricted to paid plans only, but I believe you can still open one through JPD under the Give Feedback tab >> Get help from the support team.
If that is not the case, my apologies! But give it a try whenever you have the chance, and let us know if you have any luck.
