We are amongst those that have asked for this feature including feeding back usescases to product support. very pleased to see it has not fallen on deaf ears!
We would like to review these feature capabilities to cover 2 main usecases:
From an ideas level be able to identify and visualise on a timeline/gantt all Epics across multiple JSW spaces, facilitating critical path and dependancy mapping.
Investigate if we have an issue type hierarchy of Objectives, Initiatives, Ideas and Epics with objects linked "is child/parent of" to what degree we can create a plan based on a given Initiative and illustrate all linked objects below.
I have been using JPD extensively to plan development in our organization, linkage to plans would greatly assist with that planning and communicating with executives.
That's good news as a first step. But my joy was not totally satisfied when I read "Ideas will not be included in the hierarchy". Is there any roadmap for this Feature?
Most of my clients (I am a Solution partner) want to include it in the hierarchy. For example they have a strategic objective for the company that will lead to some ideas and then some delivery. OKR is an issuetype which is a parent of the Idea and the Idea is the parent of the Epic.
I would be awesome to have the Idea issuetype in the hierarchy. Thank you.
Hello - We would also really like to try out this new feature. We have deployed Jira JDP and Plans to help us get a Rail Operating Company to become fully operational and assume operations for a North American commuter rail network. https://onxpress.atlassian.net/
Hey! We'd like access please! We use Product Discovery to prioritize our work and Jira Plans to plan our delivery. This integration will allow us to manage our commercial roadmap and dependencies in the same time!
Hello @Tanguy Crusson, We would love early access to this feature as it is core to our PI planning sessions that we would like to conduct in August. Thank you, kindly, Melorie
We'd like access because we used plans heavily for strategy and roadmapping our initiatives. Once Discovery came out we migrated a large portion of our process into it and it has been invaluable for road mapping. However it's now difficult for us to render any view that shows a through line between ideas and the actual execution, so we have a fair amount of duplicate work and rendering roadmaps outside of Atlassian to join the datasets together.
We'd like access because we use JPD and Jira consistently between our Product Management team and development teams. We lean heavily on JPD for quarterly planning, and the deep integrations in Jira for delivery within the quarter. Tying the quarterly goals to ongoing delivery work in Plans would bring a lot of clarity.
Hi! We're currently using Jira Product Discovery to manage our intake and workflow of new work for our team. The new views here will satisfy a huge gap for us in being able to better visualize all the pieces to create a clear view for our organization of where there are dependencies and where work is in the process.
Our team would like access to provide improved visibility to our product roadmap for stakeholders and our scrum team. We are investing in JPD and believe this will help adoption across the organization.
We have just migrated from AirFocus to Product Discovery and haven't regretted it. We're currently focusing on changing the way the business thinks about roadmaps, and Now, Next and Later are going down well. This will close the loop with our delivery team.
We're also looking forward to seeing how JIRA, Product Discovery and Atlas all come together to help close the loop in transparency and communication.
We'd like access because I was one of those requesting this.
We want to manage the ideation and roadmapping in JPD which is driving the right business conversations and priortisation based on outcomes. But we can't get away from the fact that as a sports tech company many of our projects end up being event driven with time-based deadlines and this is where advanced planning comes in.
At the moment, we are having to effectively recreate JPD tickets as initiatives or deliverables to achieve this and there has to be a better way when the JPD tickets are already linked to the Delivery Epics.
We'd like access please because we were using Jira Plans and then actually abandoned using it because we couldn't properly reconcile it with our roadmapping in Jira Product Discovery. However, we're now struggling to transition our roadmap into actionable plans that we can communicate to the rest of our teams and stakeholders. I'm pretty desperate to use both together.
We'd love to access because we currently use JPD for customer care team and stakeholder, and Jira timelines for tech teams, but as a PM I struggle maintainig 2 different dashboards, I'd rather all teams to be on the same page for sure!
We would love to trial this program and provide feedback if asked. We have multiple teams working across multiple boards all tying back to the same JPD. This will help us stay on track.
Hi, we'd love to try it out as we currently have a focus on improving the transparency over our processes from idea to delivery. Out site is https://workheld.atlassian.net
We'd like access please! I had already configured advanced roadmaps to start using for our project portfolio tracking, but Product Discovery gives us way better flexibility so we moved over to using that for portfolio planning and reporting. Being able to link both of them would make it so much easier, as our PM's could update Advanced Roadmaps to feed our reporting out of Product Discovery and help us keep Advanced Roadmaps, Atlas and Product Discovery all in sync!
As we're just in the early stages of rolling out Jira across our PMO, being able to align these now will help with engagement by our users.
We currently use product discovery at the team level and are trying to move use of product discovery to the more general tech level but the struggle has been that they use Jira roadmaps extensively and the integration is difficult between the two. This causes redundancy and extra work for us. Would love to check this out!
We would like access because it could potentially solve all our problems of planning while using JPD!!! Soooo cooool!!! :)
Until now it has been a nightmare discovering and planning. We manage a big backlog in JPD and have several development teams. We are using JPD, Advanced Roadmaps, and even MP. We also previously tried Big Query and others... But we are not happy with any of them... JPD miss planning features, and Advance Roadmap is not connect with JPD :( It seems that this upgrade could finally solve our planning problems. :)
We'd like access because... we have fully adopted Product Discovery for intake and roadmap management and are using Advanced Roadmaps with linked Ideas<>Atlas<>Epic workflow to manage product delivery planning. One area of confusion we've faced is Idea visibility in the Product Delivery Program (Adv RM Jira Epics) and have built many automations to try to circumvent this, but would love to test the new integration to validate and confirm it meets team info needs.
