We're driving for adoption of JPD across our organization, and the ability to include Ideas in Plans is an exciting opportunity for many of the teams moving to the Atlassian stack from various other project management tools.
this would be terrific to integrate discovery with our plans. There is a huge gap in our workflow as we currently use both products. https://voxy.atlassian.net/
(it would also be nice if we didn't have to pay for the plans feature for our non-product and engineering users, those using jira for customer support etc)
I know you were looking into honouring parent/child links in JPD or allowing some way of managing hierarchy of JPD tickets in JIRA plans or JPD itself, but I wondered if there had been any progress on this?
We'd like access because we’re just getting started with JPD to see if it meets our need to integrate product backlog with the delivery backlog. The ability to have this bidirectional traceability is powerful.
We're planning on migrating to JPD and Plans from other tools, and this is the missing link we need in order to migrate. Reading through the JDP handbook, this seems to be how Product and Engineering connect the dots between ideas on the roadmap and what's in the backlog. Otherwise it seems we'd need to equate an idea with an Initiative, always, to standardize the grouping in Plans, which wouldn't be accurate. Would love to be in the EAP!
However, we are on Jira Standard, not Jira Premium, so we don't have the Plans feature. This integration would definitely move us towards the tipping point of paying. In the past, Advanced Roadmaps on its own hasn't been compelling enough, but paired with JPD, it's a different story!
I can speak with our enterprise rep about doing another trial of premium, if we can secure EA.
We are heavily using Jira Product Discovery for our product development roadmaps, and we would like to use this integration to plan our portfolio of initiatives.
