G’day, wonderful Jira mobile people.
Here’s a look at the latest features and performance improvements in Jira Cloud’s iOS app and Android app.
Within service management (company-managed) projects, you can now scan QR codes to automatically add details to the assets object field (previously known as the insight object field).
Simply open a service management request in a company-managed project, select the assets object field (this field can be added to requests by admins via Jira Cloud for web; the name of the field can be customized, too). Then, instead of typing in the text box, select the QR icon. On Android, it appears just below the search box (see image below). On iOS, it appears near the top of your screen.
Your camera will open, allowing you to scan a QR code.

Parallel sprints have just arrived in team-managed projects. (They were already in company-managed projects.)
Create sprints in the backlog, via the backlog’s ‘more’ icon (three vertical dots on Android, three horizontal dots on iOS).

All issues in active parallel sprints appear on the board. You can filter your board by sprint by selecting the filter icon (inverted triangle) > All sprints, then select which sprint you’d like to see.
To edit one of the sprints, go to your backlog and select the individual sprint’s ‘more’ icon. (You can also complete the sprint this way.)

Another way to complete a sprint in the app is to go to the board > Select ‘more’ (three vertical dots on Android, three horizontal dots on iOS) > Select Complete sprint > Choose the sprint you want to complete from the dropdown menu.
Pull request icons that appear on issues on the board are now accessible to anyone who is colorblind. The icons no longer rely solely on color to differentiate between open, merged, and declined.

There’s now a fast way to add watchers to an issue on iOS. Simply open an issue and select the watch (eye) icon. You can search for watchers, add multiple watchers, and remove watchers.

iOS already had it, and now Android does too: the filter results dashboard gadget! Woo.
Add (and edit) the filter results gadget for your dashboard via Jira Cloud for web. You can choose which saved filter it displays, how many issues are shown, the order they’re shown in, and more.

Like Jira Cloud for web’s issue tabs, we’re building support for issue tabs in the apps. Admins will be able to add and customize tabs via Jira Cloud for web, and then they’ll appear in the apps.
Tabs are great at simplifying content-heavy issues. Related fields can be grouped into tabs; fields that aren’t used very often can have a tab of their own. You can expand and collapse each tab, allowing you to only see certain fields.
In this example, the user has created a tab called 'Main Content' for their top-priority fields, and a tab called 'Secondary Content' for lower-priority fields.

Haven’t got the app? Download Jira Cloud for iOS from the App Store, or Jira Cloud for Android from Google Play.
Don’t forget! You can sign up to be a beta tester and get early access to updates.
