We are using Jira v6.3 and we have recently updated the jira software license users from 100 to 250 users. Before the software license update we had an option of automatically create the subtask for a issue type like "operational support issue" for some projects. Now we can no longer do that. Can you help to tell what might have gone wrong?
The licence doesn't affect functionality in any way, just the number of users (if you'd gone over the licence limit, the system goes mostly read-only)
So, your problem has nothing to do with the licence. How did you configure this "automatically create the subtask"? It's not a standard function, so it's something you've added somewhere.
Could it be a purchased add-on that did not get its license updated to 250 users? I think that could explain the behavior as the add-on license would no longer be valid.

Nic has this totally on point, this is something you've added to JIRA – Perhaps you could list any major plugins or any custom development you have performed to JIRA? How did this "option of automatically create the subtask for a issue type like 'operational support issue' for some projects" function and where was it present?
