Does anyone have any documentation of how the usergroups get migrated when you go from Server to Cloud? I would have figured that all the functionality that the admin groups had on Server would have migrated to the Cloud Admin groups, but that wasn't the case. Wondering if there's a list so I get everything reviewed as part of the migration.
In my experience, it depends on what your identity provider was on the server and the cloud. If it is the same, then when doing the user/group migration part of the move then the groups will stay the same. But it all depends on how you migrated everything.
our groups were 'jira-administrators', 'jira-developers', and 'jira-users'. In the cloud, the names are different because they include the site name.

Those look to be internal groups and I have seen them get migrated as well. If you search the groups on your instance do you see those groups?

Our user groups were still there but the majority of roles and permissions were lost in the migration !
It also made Disabled users "enabled" in the cloud instance - so user license shot up - one to be aware of !
