Hello to all Atlassians!! I'm looking forward to learning how Jira works as I have heard about it six years ago when temping at a museum that other departments were working with but the department that I was working with did not want to switch to :( . As a temp, you don't get to make discission.

Hi Taranjeet!

Thanks for the shout out and I hope you have a great experience as well! I was trying to do the assignment and there seems to be some issues as direction does not seem to match up with the interface. Let you know if you are experiencing the same.

Example: Kanban board - My interface only shows "Board" even when selecting the Kanban template.

All the best!

KD

Welcome to the community.  We are here to assist your journey with Jira.  I recommend that you join the appropriate communities and then you can ask your questions targeting to the products that you are interested.

Best, Joseph Chung Yin

Hi Joseph!

What do you mean by joining the "appropriate communities"?

Thank you!

@K D -

What I meant was you can also select the different groups/products that you may be interested in -

Examples - Finding all the groups within the community

https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Groups/ct-p/groups

Examples - Finding all the products focus areas within the community

https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Products/ct-p/products

Hope this makes sense.

Best, Joseph

@Joseph Chung Yin

Hi Joseph,

Sorry for the late reply and thank you for your explanation about groups with links.

This is my first time taking a course through Coursera and since I was interested in learning Jira for a while, I enrolled to test out the course; like a test drive. I did not realize that it was actually an "active" class.

I started week 1 and had some issues with the exercise 1 but figured out what went wrong. I will check out your link once I catch up to week 2.

Thank you for the explanation and links for me to check out!

Best,

Kreset Desy "KD"
