Report to track release status / progress.

Hi all,

I would like an advice from Jira Align experts out there on how to effectively track release (fix version) progress / statuses across multiple programs.

I am overseeing multiple programs that rolls up to a portoflio. I have been looking through Jira ALign standard reports and while I see bunch of reports showing progress at PI or work item level, I don't see one for release. 

The best I could find was Roadmap - Fix Version view but are there any other ones?

@ytoeda The Roadmap Release view that you found would have been my recommendation as to the progress against the release.  This same information also feeds into the Program Room.  You need to make sure that you have the Releases card toggled on under View Configuration to see it.  Is there something that the Roadmap Release view isn't giving you that you are looking for?

I do like Roadmap Release view. Unfortunately, it has not been very reliable for me. (With same setting, sometimes it shows the roadmap and sometimes it does not.) 

Progrmam room - 

I see list of releases under Fix Version but do not see progress bar or anything to indicate how we are doing. Not sure if I am doing something wrong here. Also, since our fix version cross over PIs, we need the ability to select multiple PIs to see the holistic release status.

On the Release Details Panel, there is an attribute Program Increment Shipped In.  The value selected in this field will determine what PI it displays for in the Program Room.  Essentially the release is only going to ship in one PI even though there may be work from previous PIs that are contributing to that release.  So if the release is being shipped say in PI 5, PI 5 would need to be selected to load the Program Room.

There should be a progress bar displayed though you may not realize.  It is a blue bar that covers the entire row.  When you hover over, it will show you the progress.  It is based on the amount of story points accepted compared to the total amount of story points.  These points are inclusive of all programs contributing to that release, not just the program selected to view the Program Room.  In the screenshot below, I am hovering over the Green Emerald release.  If you do not see a blue bar, then there hasn't been any progress made against that release yet.
